Dialectics and contradictions stand at the very heart of a Brechtian production of any play. This is because contradictions pose questions to the audience, inviting spectators to account for them. As such, Brechtian theatre is concerned with how to articulate contradictions clearly in order to stimulate the audience’s curiosity.
